The McCracken County Road Department has many duties.  They consist of paving and maintaining roadways which include:

-Pathcing potholes

-Repairing and maintaining shoulders of the road

-Mowing the road Right of Ways (ROW)

-Cutting trees that are on the ROW which may be a danger to    the public

-Trimming limbs on and over ROW

-Cleaning and maintaining curbs and gutters

-Snow and ice removal using rock salt and/or sand for traction

-Tree removal off the roads in the event of a strom

-Animal carcus pickup off the road or ROW
