2018 Holiday Schedule
Labor Day Holiday
Below are the changes to the Engineering-Public Works Department’s schedule for the Labor Day holiday (September 3, 2018).
- Curbside Recycling: City crews will collect recyclables Tuesday, September 4 for Paducah households that have recyclables collected curbside on the first and third Mondays of the month. There will not be a collection on Labor Day, September 3.
- Compost Facility: The Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street currently is closed until further notice due to the routine grinding of brush. (Update (September 6, 2018) - The Compost Facility has reopened to the public.)
- Trash Collection: The trash collection schedule will NOT change for the Labor Day week.
- Freedom Waste Recycling Drop-Off Facility: The recycling drop-off facility operated by Freedom Waste located at 400 State Street is open Labor Day. The facility is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon. As part of the contract between the City of Paducah and Freedom Waste, there is no charge for the general public to drop off recyclables.
