2015 Parade Information
The 2015 City of Paducah Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, December 5 in downtown Paducah. The parade begins at 5 p.m. at 14th and Broadway and travels down Broadway until it turns at 2nd Street and disbands at Madison Street. Music and lights are required on all parade entries. Santa Claus will make a special appearance at the end of the parade on the official Santa float.
Be sure to either take part or watch the Ugly Christmas Sweater Fun Run at 4:30 p.m. as runners and walkers go down Broadway wearing their ugliest Christmas sweater.
Parade entries will marshal on Broadway between 13th and Fountain Avenue, on Fountain Avenue between Broadway and Jefferson, and on Jefferson between 13th and Fountain Avenue. Streets will be closed in the staging area beginning at 3 p.m. on December 5. Streets along the parade route will close at 4 p.m. The Parks Services Department also asks the public to refrain from parking in the parade preparation area from 3 to 6 p.m. to help limit the congestion of vehicles and floats.
The deadline to enter a float is in mid-November (stay tuned for more information). Late entries will incur a $25 fee and will not be accepted after a specified date TBD.
Parade participants will be given their parade packets, numbers, and line up information at a mandatory parade meeting the week prior to the Christmas Parade. Any questions can be discussed at this time. All participants should send a representative to pick up their packet at this meeting. The parade meeting date will be announced soon.
