Since mid-May, City of Paducah Engineering-Public Works crews along with a contractor have been constructing a new intersection off County Park Road. Now that the construction is complete, the intersection has become a three-way stop. This is the intersection where the newly constructed Greenway Drive ties into County Park Road. The intersection is just south of the large curve on County Park Road next to the western entrance of the Greenway Trail. Drivers should use caution as traffic will now be required to stop on County Park Road.
This new intersection is to service the development by Hidgon Development, Inc. and Greenway Village, LLC. The development includes the construction of apartments and condominiums on vacant land owned by Higdon adjacent to Stuart Nelson Park and the Greenway Trail. In a memorandum of understanding between the developer and the City of Paducah, the City agreed to construct the intersection where Greenway Drive, within the apartment complex, intersects with County Park Road. The City also will improve the intersection with Greenway Drive and Stuart Nelson Park Road in the future.
If you have a question about the project, please call the Engineering-Public Works Department at 444-8511.
