Tee Ball & Rookie League

Paducah Parks and Recreation offers Youth Tee Ball and Rookie League for kids ages 5-9 in the community at an affordable price. The goals of this league is for youth to learn the basic skills of the sport, show improvement throughout the season, and have fun! The league is held at the Noble Park Ball Fields. This is a great league for boys and girls who want to play baseball and softball as they get older. Games are on Saturday afternoons in May and Saturday mornings in June, with additional Tuesday night games later in the season. Practices and are on Tuesday nights. Players who sign up will be assigned teams and are provided a uniform for games. Coaches are volunteers so we ask all parents to consider helping to coach.

 

Important Dates for the 2019 Season

Registration Begins: February 1, 2019. You can register at the Paducah Parks & Recreation Office located at 1400 HC Mathis Drive on Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, call 270-444-8508 or register online.

Registration Deadline for Tee Ball and Rookie League: Thursday March 14

Clinics: Monday March 25 and Monday April 29 at 6:00pm at the Noble Park Fields

Coaches Meeting: Tuesday March 26

Coaches Clinic: Monday April 15

Practices Begin: Tuesday April 16

Games Begin: Saturday May 11

 

Tee Ball

Tee Ball is for boys and girls ages 5 - 6 and costs $40 per child. A 10% off multi-child discount is available. Players must be 5 or 6 years old at the time of the aging date on June 30, 2019. There will be one game and one practice each week. Coaches are volunteer parents. Players should have their own glove and tennis shoes. The league will provide helmets, bats, balls, and any other equipment needed for games and practices.

 

Rookie League

For boys and girls ages 7-9 with the aging date on June 30, 2019 and costs $40 per child. A 10% off multi-child discount is available. There is one game and one practice per week. A soft-compression baseball is used and the league is coach pitch with some use of a tee depending on each player's ability. Coaches are volunteer parents. Players should have their own glove and tennis shoes or cleats. The league will provide helmets, bats, balls, and any other equipment needed for games and practices.

 

Clinics

Clinics will be held at Noble Park Ball Fields for all registered players leading up to the season in addition to normal practices. This years clinics are on:

  • Monday March 25 at 6:00pm
  • Monday April 29 at 6:00pm

 

Additional Information

There is NO SMOKING allowed at the fields or park during games and practices.
