Spring Junior Tennis Clinics

The Paducah Tennis Association and Paducah Parks & Recreation are offering Spring Junior Tennis Clinics on Sundays this spring. The clinics will be at the Paducah Tilghman High School Chad Gamble Tennis Center. Additional information will be released soon.


Youth Tennis at the Paducah Recreation Center

The Paducah Tennis Association and Paducah Parks & Recreation are offering Youth Tennis at the Paducah Recreation Center. This is for kids ages 6-12 and open to all ability levels. Tennis balls and nets are provided but we ask that participants bring their own rackets.

This program will be from 5:00pm – 6:00pm on the following Sundays: January 22 & 29, February 5, 12, 19, & 26. The cost is $5 per Sunday or $30 for all six. Participants must pre-register since space is limited, but can choose to register for all the dates, one date, or a couple of them. The deadline to register is 12:00pm the Friday before each Sunday.

Pre-register by phone at 270-444-8508, online, or at the Parks & Recreation Office located at 1400 HC Mathis Drive. The Paducah Recreation Center is located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

 

 


2022 Fall Junior Tennis Clinicstennis clinic

The Paducah Tennis Association and Paducah Parks & Recreation are offering Fall Junior Tennis Clinics on Sundays on September 11, 18, 25 & October 16. They will not meet on October 2 or 9 due to fall break. The Beginner level is for kids ages 6-12 who are new to the sport. The clinics are at the Paducah Tilghman High School Chad Gamble Tennis Center. The registration deadline is Thursday September 8 at 4:30pm. There are two different clinics offered. 

Beginner:            1:00-2:00 pm             Cost: $80    

  • Beginner level students will receive an introduction to basic tennis principles and start refining all of the basic shots- forehand, backhand, serve, and volley.

Intermediate:       2:15-3:15 pm             Cost: $80

  • Intermediate tennis players will play points and will learn to keep score with help from instructors. Students will mimic match play and get ready to compete in tournament play. Round robin style will be used so students get exposure to other players.   

Pre-register by phone at 270-444-8508, online, or at the Parks & Recreation Office located at 1400 HC Mathis Drive. Registration is available on-site the first day at the tennis courts. However, there are limited spots in each division. Please write checks to Paducah Parks & Recreation.
