BikeWorld and Chain Reaction Cycling Club present the 4th annual Moonlight Ride benefitting Paducah Cooperative Ministry on Saturday, July 29 in Paducah. Bicyclists of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this 10-mile, nighttime “glow ride” through the city streets of Paducah.
The event begins at 8 p.m. on the parking lot of BikeWorld at 809 Joe Clifton Drive. In addition to check-in and registration, enjoy free refreshments including treats from the Paducah Bank Ice Cream Truck, and live music from Daniel Neihoff.
The ride begins at 10 p.m., departing from BikeWorld and circling through the downtown and west end areas before returning to BikeWorld. Participants are asked to comply with safety standards that include wearing helmets and equipping bikes with applicable lights. Riders are also encouraged to “bring the bling” and incorporate the use of glow-in-the-dark accessories on their bikes and even on themselves.
The community can also participate in this ride from the comfort of their own homes. Those living along the ride route are encouraged to illuminate their lawns and homes to show support for the riders.
