The Paducah Chapter of the NAACP is holding a march for the laying of a wreath at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Monument on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Attendees will meet in the parking lot of the Robert Cherry Civic Center (2701 Park Avenue) at 9:30 a.m. and walk in the median to the monument which is located Martin Luther King Jr. Drive near North 19th Street. PATS will provide transportation to those who wish to ride. There will be a police escort.
Following the march is a luncheon at Paducah Tilghman High School (tickets are required). The keynote speaker is Terrance A. Sullivan who serves as Kentucky Commission on Human Rights Executive Director. For ticket information, visit Paducah McCracken County NAACP.
