2017 Winterfest Competition for Law Enforcement Explorer Post 111

Explorer Post 111Law Enforcement Explorer Post 111, sponsored by the Paducah Police Department, competed last weekend at Winterfest 2017 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, Gatlinburg, TN.

The group participated in a mock school shooting/mass casualty exercise, and competed in several events, including Officer Tactical Challenge; Officer Survival; Robbery in Progress; Uniform Competition; and Felony Traffic Stop.

The team of Explorer Brennan Rouse, Explorer Patsy Waldridge, Chief Leah Stevenson and Explorer Wyatt Martin finished third in Felony Traffic Stop, and Capt. Jason Armstrong finished third in Officer Survival.

Also participating from Post 111 were sergeants Miguel Gonzalez and Martaj Marks and explorers Kevin Sullivan, Kimberlee Willis, Cailey Culp, Patrick Frizzell and Jamie Smith.
Explorer posts representing 81 law enforcement agencies in 17 states competed in Winterfest 2017 activities.
