The Parks & Recreation Department invites everyone to Paducah’s riverfront Saturday, June 23 to kick off the four-concert Riverfront Concert Series. Enjoy sounds, sunset, and summertime with up-and-coming country artist Lauren Lizabeth hitting the stage from 5 until 6 p.m. and then the all-female group Farewell Angelina from 6 until 8 p.m. Farewell Angelina is country group with four vocalists who are dynamic songwriters and multi-instrumentalists with violins and guitars.
The free concerts, featuring a variety of music genres, are held on select evenings this summer on Wilson Stage at the riverfront. The concerts are partnerships of local and/or up-and-coming artists taking the stage for the first hour starting at 5 p.m. The nationally-known artists entertain the crowds from 6 until 8 p.m. A variety of beverages are available for purchase at the concerts.
This is the fifth year for the Riverfront Concert Series organized by the Paducah Parks & Recreation Department. Additional 2018 Concert dates are Wednesday, July 4 (which has extended times); Thursday, August 2; Saturday, August 25.
