Street Beat Fridays:  The first Street Beat Fridays is this Friday, July 3 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the gazebo located at 2nd Street and Broadway.  As you are enjoying Friday evenings in historic downtown Paducah this summer, local musicians will be at the gazebo each Friday in July and August to make your evening more special.  Street Beat Fridays is developed by the Paducah Parks & Recreation Department to support local musicians and provide a musical ambience for those partaking in Paducah’s downtown.

Paducah Homegrown Farmers’ Market:  The Paducah Homegrown Farmers’ Market in downtown Paducah on North 2nd Street is open each Saturday through October 24 from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.  To limit the number of customers at one time, the line to enter the market begins at the parking lot entrance on 2nd Street.  A Tuesday mid-week market will be held each Tuesday in July and August from 3 until 7 p.m. at Carson Park.

Independence Day Celebration:  The City of Paducah along with event sponsor Independence Bank is inviting the community to enjoy a July 4th fireworks celebration that allows for the continued attention to health and safety through social distancing.  On Saturday, July 4, the community is invited to turn its attention toward Paxton Park Golf Course for a fireworks show.  The City has contracted again with Arthur Rozzi Pyrotechnics.  The show will focus on the use of high aerial fireworks that will be visible from many parts of the city.  Paxton Park will be closed to the public.  This location is centrally located to many neighborhoods and parking areas.  The fireworks show will begin at 9:15 p.m. with a rain date of Sunday, July 5 if needed.  The Parks & Recreation Department will have accompanying music for the fireworks show on local radio station, WDXR 102.5.
