Put air in the tires, grab your helmet, and bring your bicycle to Bikes on Broadway this Sunday, August 11. Bikes on Broadway is sponsored by Paducah Parks Services and BikeWorld.
From 1 until 4 p.m., bring your bicycle, skates, skateboards, scooters, tricycles, strollers, running shoes, or walking shoes for a fun afternoon of strolling and riding along Broadway. Vehicular traffic will not be permitted on Broadway between 4th and 17th Streets allowing for a safe environment for people-powered vehicles. This is a free event.
BikeWorld will be set up at 17th Street to provide mechanical help and other assistance. Volunteers will help direct traffic at the intersections of 9th Street and Broadway and 13th Street and Broadway. Please avoid driving around the barricades.
Additional 2013 dates for Bikes on Broadways are September 8 and October 13. This is the sixth year for the free event which closes a stretch of Broadway in Paducah to vehicular traffic.
