Compost Facility Reopens on Normal Schedule Tomorrow, February 28, 2020

Date of release:  February 27, 2020

The City of Paducah Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street will return to its normal operating schedule tomorrow, February 28.  The facility has been closed during the weekdays since January 14 due to routine grinding of brush.

The regular operating schedule for the Compost Facility, when it is not closed for routine grinding, is Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.  It is closed on Sunday.  The Facility has compost available for purchase by the bucket load.  An approximately two-yard bucket load of compost costs $20.

The facility also is available for Paducah residents to drop off brush, leaves, and yard debris at no charge.  Due to the current stockpile of raw materials, the Compost Facility is not accepting brush, leaves, and yard debris from contractors or from residents who live outside the Paducah city limits.
