Informational Seminar about Mass Shooting Response

What would you do if a mass shooting happened at your church or business?

An informational seminar will be hosted by the Police Foundation of Paducah/McCracken County and the Paducah Police Department to help you better prepare in case of such an event.

Guest speaker will be nationally recognized expert Kenneth D. Hughes. Topics will include: The 10-Minute Exercise and Role Play Scenario; The Modern Era of School Shootings: A Quick Overview; Response & Survival During a Mass Shooting; Can Mass Shootings Be Prevented?; The 2nd Amendment: The Right to Bear Arms and Community Safety; Public Safety Response; and Points to Ponder.

Sessions will be from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, (recommended for church staff and security, and school staff and security); and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, (recommended for local businesses). Both sessions will be at the Clemens Fine Arts Center on the campus of West Kentucky Community and Technical College.

Pre-registration is not required. You will register at the door.
