Mayor Brandi Harless is announcing the launch of a website with the goal of connecting residents to remote work. The website http://paducahremoteworkers.com/ provides those interested in remote working opportunities with information about resume writing, remote job opportunities, in-demand skills for remote jobs, and a virtual job fair.
Mayor Harless says, “Remote working is a growing trend across the United States and the world. Many people in Paducah are without work or have seen a significant reduction in their wages. Because we live in a global economy with advanced communication technology, remote work can be a good option for those looking for employment during this time.”
“The website’s landing page also links to helpful tools to prepare for remote work and be competitive in the application process. I also encourage anyone interested in remote work to attend the Virtual Job Fair on April 16. You will need a Flexjobs membership to attend the job fair. We have worked with Flexjobs to provide a significant discount for Paducah residents,” adds Harless.
The launch of this website is a partnership among the City of Paducah, Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, Paducah/McCracken County NAACP, West Kentucky Community & Technical College, and West Kentucky Workforce Board.
