Live on Broadway will be held on Saturday, July 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will be hosted on Broadway between Water and 5th Streets. This week’s musical entertainment includes:
Additional entertainment will be provided in the Family Fun Zone area of the event, located in the 300 block of Broadway. Children will be invited to explore music and storytelling with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra, the McCracken County Library and Harmony Road Music School in a collaborative children’s production, A Celebration of Stars.
Children and their families are invited to take part in telling the story of the great composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, through singing songs and exploring musical instruments. The book Mozart Was a Little Boy will be presented.
Bob the Dog, a puppet creation of the Folsom Puppet Company, will host the evening’s events. There will be additional games, puppet activities and songs in which the children can engage throughout the evening.
A Celebration of Stars is part of the Paducah Symphony Orchestra’s partnership with Harmony Road Music School. For the past three years, they have woven music and literacy into a project that has introduced more than 6,000 children to the wonders of reading and music.
