Paducah Fire Department Invites Community to Fill the Fire Truck with School Supplies Through August 10, 2018

The Paducah Fire Department invites everyone to help local students through the Fill the Fire Truck with School Supplies campaign.  Donations of school supplies will be accepted through August 10 at each of the five City of Paducah Fire Stations and at the Fire Prevention Division office on the first floor of City Hall located at 300 South 5th Street.  The school supplies will be collected and donated to the Paducah Independent School District and Concord Elementary School.

Deputy Fire Marshal April Tinsman is coordinating Fill the Fire Truck.  Tinsman says, “Through my service with the Paducah Fire Department, I look for ways the Department can give back to Paducah’s citizens.  My position puts me in front of many different types of situations which allows me to help identify areas of need in the community.  Little things such as school supplies can greatly impact the success of our local students.”

Friday, August 3 will be a special Fill the Fire Truck donation day.  On that day, Paducah firefighters will be collecting your school supply donations at the Southside Walmart (3220 Irvin Cobb Drive) from 9 until noon and at the West End Walmart (5130 Hinkleville Drive) from 1 until 4 p.m.
