Building upon the success of the Block Party held in June, Paducah Main Street is organizing another Block Party for historic downtown Paducah. The next Block Party will be Friday, August 30 from 4 until 9 p.m. along the 200 block of Kentucky Avenue.
In addition to the live music, good food and craft beer, community art, carriage rides, and lots of lots of games, show up to support Paducah's finest in a down-and-dirty WIFFLE BALL COMPETITION on the Carson Center Lawn. The Paducah Police Department will be taking on the Paducah Fire Department.
Paducah Main Street Director Katie Axt says, “It’s a joyous occasion to see our streets, shops, and restaurants filled will people. This is how Downtown should be year round and what Paducah Main Street works to deliver in partnership with our local businesses, cultural institutions, and community partners. We welcome everyone to come celebrate the start of the Labor Day weekend and the last days of summer Downtown.”
There is no admission fee to attend the block party. Kentucky Avenue will be closed between 2nd Street and 3rd Street. As a reminder, public parking is available nearby in the parking lot located on Kentucky Avenue between 3rd and 4th streets and in the parking lot at Broadway and 2nd Street.
