Paducah Recreation Center Set To Reopen for Fitness Classes on September 8, 2020

Date of release:  August 31, 2020

Paducah Parks & Recreation is set to reopen the Paducah Recreation Center located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on Tuesday, September 8 for fitness classes.  Due to guidelines issued by the state of Kentucky, staff will be implementing new procedures.  Class sizes will be limited to nine participants.  Members must pre-register to reserve a spot in each class by calling the Paducah Parks & Recreation office at 270-444-8508.

Some instructors have altered their class schedules to accommodate these new procedures.  To see a schedule of classes and to view the Member Letter which outlines the full list of changes and procedures, visit  http://paducahky.gov/paducah-recreation-center.

Since the facility closed to the public on March 13 due to the COVID-19 situation, memberships have been extended for an additional six months. This only applies to those whose memberships were still active on March 13.  Due to guidelines for groups and gatherings, Paducah Parks & Recreation is unable to offer the Open Gym activities at this time.  For those who participate only in Open Gym activities, memberships will be extended with the appropriate amount of time once those activities resume.

If you have any questions about the Paducah Recreation Center, contact the Paducah Parks & Recreation office at 270-444-8508 or e-mail parkinfo@paducahky.gov.
