Registration Underway for 2019 Summer Camps & Swimming Lessons

Registration is underway for summer camps and swimming lessons organized by the Paducah Parks & Recreation Department.  Registration is available online at www.paducahky.gov/registration or at the Parks & Recreation office located at 1400 H.C. Mathis Drive. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year, Paducah Parks & Recreation is offering three camps: Kidz Klub, Kidz Klub Too, and the Playground Activity Camp (PAC).  Kidz Klub and PAC begin on Monday, June 10 and end on Friday, July 26. Kidz Klub Too has an abbreviated schedule as described below.  Camps will not meet July 1 through 5.  You must pre-register for each week or session you wish your child to attend.  A Summer Camp Parent Packet must be filled out for each participant before the start of camp. These can be found at the Paducah Parks & Recreation office or online at www.paducahky.gov/day-camps.  Lunch is provided through the Federal Food Program.

Kidz Klub is a camp for graduated kindergarten through 5th graders.  It includes sports, games, field trips, and swimming. The camp which meets at the Anna Baumer Building in Noble Park is Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The cost for Kidz Klub is $100 per week with multi-child discounts available.  Space is limited with a maximum participation of 20 kids per week.

Kidz Klub Too is a camp for three to five year olds who have not entered kindergarten. The camp meets Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Arts and Crafts Building in Noble Park during the following weeks: June 10-14, June 17-21, July 8-12 and July 15-19.  Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, and field trips. Kidz Klub Too costs $75 per week with multi-child discounts available.  Space is limited with a maximum participation of 12 children per week.

The Playground Activity Camp (PAC) is for graduated kindergarten through 5th graders.  PAC meets Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Noble Park Shelter #16. The camp includes games, arts and crafts, sports, special guest speakers, and projects. Two camp sessions are available (June and July). The Playground Activity camp is $30/child per session. There is no multi-child discount available for PAC.  Space is limited with a maximum participation of 80 children per session.

Registration also is underway for Swimming Lessons at the Noble Park Pool. Classes offered include Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The classes are two-week sessions held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Fridays are reserved as a rain out makeup day. The cost is $40 per session.  Three sessions of classes will be offered from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. or 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. The session dates are June 4 - June 13, June 18 - June 27, and July 9 -18. Level 5 will not be offered June 4 – 13. Space is limited. Information about each class level and the prerequisites can be found at www.paducahky.gov/swimming-lessons.
