Swearing-In for New Police Officer Codey Strong

Date of release:  June 12, 2018

Officer Codey Strong Swearing-InThe Paducah Police Department's newest officer was sworn in at tonight's City Commission meeting by McCracken Judge Deanna Wise Henschel.

Codey R. Strong, 27, comes to the PPD after working two years as an officer with the DeKalb County, GA, Police Department. He is a graduate of Carterville, IL, High School and served six years in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Because he is a lateral hire, he does not have to attend the Basic Law Enforcement Academy and will be on the street, serving the citizens of Paducah much sooner than an officer who has not previously worked as a sworn law enforcement officer.
