As we enter 2018, there are many great things happening at Paducah Parks & Recreation. Every day there are free activities to partake in such as walking or biking the Greenway Trail, taking the family to a playground, going disc golfing at Stuart Nelson Park, or taking pictures of the beautiful scenery along the Ohio River at Schultz Park. When you take advantage of any of these activities or one of the many great programs listed in this newsletter below, please share your experience on social media by using #alwayssomethingtodo or tagging Paducah Parks when posting.

How to Register for Paducah Parks & Recreation Programs

There are three ways to register for programs and activities. 

In Office: Stop by the Paducah Parks & Recreation Office at 1400 HC Mathis Drive and register with cash, check, or debit/credit card.
Online:  Click Online Registration to register online using a credit/debit card and view programs and activities. You will have to create an account to register for programs. If you have issues with online registration contact the Parks & Recreation office at 270-444-8508.
Over the Phone using a credit card:  Call the Parks office at 270-444-8508.
By Mail:  Download the Registration Form and mail to Parks and Recreation with a payment in the form of a check.

Paducah Recreation Center 

Located at 1527 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.  For more info on the facility and hours of operations visit the Paducah Recreation Center page. All users must have a Paducah Recreation Center Membership to enter the facility. Current 2018 Memberships expire on December 31, 2018. Check out the December Calendar to see what programs and activities are being offered this month. 

There will be some changes to Paducah Recreation Center Memberships effective December 1, 2018. All memberships sold after this date will be good for 365 days from the date of purchase. Previously memberships were only good for the calendar year. Also starting December 1, 2018, all memberships will be a card that attaches to your key ring (key fob). These key fobs will have a bar code assigned to each member of your household. You will scan in once you enter the facility for your class, activity, or open gym. Activity Punch Passes will also be added to the same key fob when purchased.

Paducah Recreation Center Membership Prices are listed below (effective 12/1/18):

  •  Paducah Recreation Center GOLD Membership (Individual or Family): $60.00 (tax included)
  •  Paducah Recreation Center Membership (Individual or Family): $20.00 (tax included)
  •  Activity Punch Pass (20 Class Visits): $10.00 (tax included)
  •  Lost Key Fob Replacement: $5.00 (tax included)

Walking Club

With the weather getting cold you can come enjoy a temperature controlled climate to get all your steps in! Walking Club is at the Paducah Recreation Center every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:30am - 12:00pm. All you need is a $20 Paducah Recreation Center membership to participate and that membership is good for 365 days.

I Heart Presidents Day

Paducah Parks & Recreation and the Paducah Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution are happy to announce the fourth annual I Heart Presidents Day for kids and families.  Come join us for a fun day of presidential themed activities to celebrate Presidents Day. Kids of all ages will make arts & crafts and learn about different presidents, early American culture, and take a presidential portrait. There will be FREE snacks and gift bags for participants (while supplies last).

The event is Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Robert Cherry Civic Center from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and the event is FREE to all kids and families.


There are many great ongoing fitness classes with Paducah Parks & Recreation. There are various fee structures for each class, but we have classes at the Paducah Recreation Center, upstairs at the Paducah Parks & Recreation office, and the Robert Cherry Civic Center. Shelters and Facility Reservations

Paducah Parks and Recreation offers several facilities and park shelters to consider for private events. Reservations are not accepted more than one year in advance. Click here for more information. For reservations, contact Paducah Parks and Recreation at 270-444-8508 or by email.
