Annual Special Events

The Parks Services Department offers several annual special events in addition to the numerous classes, camps, and sports leagues.  Some of the special events organized by the Parks Services Department are competitions, visit Event Winners to view the contest winners.  The events listed below are divided by season:  Spring-Summer and Fall-Winter.  Click an event to learn more about how to get involved.  The events are listed in the order they usually occur during the calendar year.

Dogs at Special Events - As a reminder, pets are allowed at city-sponsored community events; however, for the public’s safety, the City’s dog ordinance, Chapter 14 lists three requirements.  The dog must be licensed by McCracken County Animal Control or by any other state or county and restrained by a leash or other lead that is no longer than three feet.
