Paducah Fire Department Invites Community to Fill the Fire Truck with School Supplies

Donations of school supplies and individually wrapped food items are being accepted at any Paducah fire station and at City Hall through August 12. Also, members of the Paducah Fire Department will accept donations at Paducah Walmart locations on Friday, August 5.

The Paducah Fire Department invites everyone to help local students through the Fill the Fire Truck with School Supplies campaign.  Donations of school supplies and individually wrapped food items will be accepted through August 12 at any Paducah fire station and at City Hall located at 300 South 5th Street.  The donations will be provided to schools within the Paducah city limits.

Friday, August 5 will be a special Fill the Fire Truck donation day.  Members of the Paducah Fire Department will collect donations at the Southside Walmart (3220 Irvin Cobb Drive) from 9 until noon and at the West End Walmart (5130 Hinkleville Road) from 1 until 4 p.m.

Deputy Fire Marshal April Tinsman coordinates Fill the Fire Truck.  Tinsman said, “Every donation is appreciated and can greatly impact the success of our local students.  The Paducah Fire Department looks forward to this donation event each year since we can show our investment in our community and help local families start the school year with school supplies and food items.”

  • Composition Notebooks
  • Loose Leaf Notebook paper
  • Spiral Notebooks
  • Highlighters
  • Graph Paper
  • Protractor
  • Three-ring binders
  • Glue Sticks
  • Divider Tabs
  • Printer Paper Reams
  • Flash Drives
  • Backpacks
  • Individually wrapped food including fruit snacks, tuna salad kits, peanut butter or cheese crackers, potato chips, applesauce and fruit cups, and granola bars
