About the Transient Boat Dock
Paducah is uniquely situated at the confluence of the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers. In 2017, the City of Paducah opened its 340-foot transient boat dock adjacent to a newly constructed park area that extends into the Ohio River. The park provides a harbor area for the transient dock and creates the potential for the development of a future marina.
The dock, located downstream from the heart of historic downtown Paducah, provides space for transient boaters to enjoy Paducah by spending a few hours or spending several nights. Amenities include fuel (diesel and marine grade gasoline), water, power pedestals, and a sewer pumpout station (seasonal for water and sewer amenities). Note: To launch a boat, visit the Ohio River Boat Launch at North 6th and Burnett Streets.
Winterizing the Dock The dock is winterized in the late fall with water and sewer pump-out amenities drained and winterized to prevent damage to the pipes. The dock remains open during the winter with fuel and power available for boaters. If the Ohio River is near 39 feet or above, all amenities (power, fuel, sewer, and water) are disconnected. NOTE: Effective Monday, November 18, 2024, water and sewer pump out will not be available due to the seasonal winterization of the dock.

- Great dock and little town! So much to see and do: the quilting museum, the railroad museum, art galleries, street murals, many restaurants, and stores and a quilting museum numbered street walk, as well as a horse drawn carriage to see the decorated homes. Definitely recommend at least 2 nights.
- Great dock. Short walk to town. Nice shops and museums close by.
- After traveling off grid for 3 days, it was great to arrive at the City of Paducah Transient docks. It's a nice dock, city is very responsive and a quaint downtown with nice restaurants, beautiful riverfront and interesting architecture and murals on the levee walls.
- Staff were attentive to our requests. Right downtown, nice area to walk around and plenty of things to do. Overall a great place to stop!!
- The dock was very nice. It was a bit rocky for us because of the wind, but still very nice. Very close to great restaurants and shopping. Bakery! Quilt Museum was awesome! Hard to imagine the water getting as high as they show on markers around town, but must have happened. They built a wall to keep it out!
- The dock and ramp are new and well maintained with good power and potable water. WiFi was excellent. The location is awesome with beautiful and historic Paducah in very close walking proximity. We enjoyed our brief stay with the National Quilting Museum and the mural wall as highlights. Great place to exercise your dog.
- Arrived early and got fuel and a pumpout, all delivered with professional and courtesy service. The stay was pleasant, with restaurants and a couple grocery stores within a half mile.
- The Paducah Transient Dock is a welcome sight after traveling the Mississippi! Great floating dock with fuel and pump out. Paducah is a great city with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
