The community is invited to join the Paducah Board of Commissioners for a Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. The celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Water Street in front of the large floodwall opening between Broadway and Jefferson Street with the official tree lighting at 6 p.m.
To kick off the 2024 holiday season, the Paducah Board of Commissioners will “flip the switch” to illuminate the 26-foot tall Christmas tree.
Enjoy special musical performances, a station for writing letters to Santa, hot chocolate, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Water Street between Broadway and Jefferson will be closed to vehicular traffic for the event.
Lights across downtown will glow for the holiday season including Locomotive 1518 near the Carson Center, trees and shrubs along Broadway, and Paducah City Hall.
Plus, as you are around town, be sure to see the new holiday pole decorations on Jefferson Street and Walter Jetton Boulevard.
