The City of Paducah invites community members, business owners, and stakeholders to participate in a series of public meetings regarding the future of the Paducah Main Street program. The meetings will focus on the program’s potential restructuring with discussions exploring whether it should remain a city-run entity or transition to a non-profit organization.
Paducah Main Street has played a vital role in supporting and promoting the downtown business district, driving economic development, and preserving the city’s historic character. The program’s future structure is being evaluated to ensure it aligns with the community’s needs and long-term vision for growth.

Main Street Board Member David Wilkins indicated the importance of community input, stating, “The downtown of Paducah is a true gem for our community. We have a great opportunity to rethink how to continually improve the downtown area through enhancements in our Main Street program. We’re asking the community to please attend one of these information sessions to learn about the options and provide direction to the city on their priorities and approach.”
