The City of Paducah is honored to share the recent achievements of West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC).

This week, WKCTC was recognized as one of the top five community colleges in the country.  The 2021 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence recognized WKCTC as a Finalist with Distinction.

Also, this week, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) announced the designation of WKCTC as one of the 27 Centers of Excellence for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education (CoE).  The CoE designation recognizes community colleges and training institutions that prepare students for careers in our nation’s maritime industry.

Mayor George Bray said, “I stand in awe of West Kentucky Community and Technical College. The College’s leadership and commitment to excellence in our community continue to pay huge dividends.  As we work to build a better tomorrow, WKCTC is one of our local pillars.  We should all hold them up as an example of what success looks like.”
