About the PMcMPO

In 2023, the Paducah-McCracken Metropolitan Planning Organization (PMcMPO) was designated by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet; the Illinois Department of Transportation; the City of Paducah; the City of Brookport, Illinois; McCracken County; and Livingston County, Kentucky. This is a significant achievement for Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois as it has the potential to unlock federal grants that will provide resources for planning as well as the improvement of the safety and efficiency of our local road system.

The Purchase Area Development District provides staff support for the PMcMPO with Paducah Mayor George Bray and Paducah City Manager Daron Jordan serving on the MPO’s executive board. Mayor Bray is the executive board’s chairman.
