Paducah Water Project – North 34th Street Watermain Replacement Project

Date of Release:
October 22, 2024

Paducah Water is working on a project to enhance reliability and service in a Paducah neighborhood. A contractor working for Paducah Water is replacing existing 6-inch watermains and installing and connecting new meter settings and service lines from the new watermain to each meter. The existing watermains have a history of breaks and low hydraulic performance.

The streets in the project area include North 34th Street from Pines Road to Jefferson Street as well as portions of Monroe Street, Madison Street, and Harrison Street between North 32nd Street and North 34th Street.

This work will take several few months to complete with completion expected next April. During this project, yards and other landscape features may be disturbed. In addition, water service may be disrupted briefly as connections are made.  Paducah Water will work to minimize these inconveniences and restore disturbed areas, as near as possible, to their original condition.
