The Parks & Recreation Department is celebrating pumpkins this week.  For the Great Pumpkin Watch, the Parks Department invites everyone to participate in a photo contest.  Carve or decorate a pumpkin and submit a picture of it this week for a chance to win a prize.  Photos can be submitted through October 17 to the Great Pumpkin Watch event page on the Paducah Parks & Recreation Department’s Facebook page.  On your post, be sure to use the following hashtag:  #greatpumpkinwatch.

To wrap up the pumpkin celebration week, visit the Paducah Homegrown Downtown Farmers’ Market this Saturday.  The Farmers’ Market hours are 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.  However, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. stop by the pumpkin-themed archway.  This balloon archway will be the perfect backdrop for taking family photos.  We would love to see your photos.  Post them to Facebook using #greatpumpkinwatch.

As a reminder, the Tuesday Mid-week Farmers’ Market at Carson Park and the Paducah Homegrown Downtown Farmers’ Market held on Saturdays will continue each week through the end of October.
