On Monday, May 4, crews will begin a pavement overlay project on several roads in the Woodland Drive neighborhood of Paducah. The following roads will be paved:
- Bellevue Drive
- Creekside Court
- Ferncliff Court
- Hillgate Road
- Ivy Drive
- North 37th Street (from Pines Road north to the dead end)
- Phillips Avenue
- Primrose Place
- Woodland Drive (from Pines Road to Primrose Place)
The project will be completed by Jim Smith Contracting and is expected to last approximately five days, weather permitting. Residents in the project area are requested not to use on-street parking while paving operations are underway.
Please use caution, watch for the work crews, and respect the traffic control devices and flaggers. Crews will work to maintain access to residents and provide one lane of traffic flow; however, brief detours may be necessary during intermittent closures.
The City of Paducah maintains more than 220 miles of streets.
