Beginning Monday, May 18, crews will be power washing sections of the river side of the concrete floodwall in downtown Paducah.
Work will begin on the section between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue and is expected to take two days to complete. On Thursday, May 21, crews will move to the section between Kentucky Avenue and the curve behind the Carson Center where South Water Street turns into Clark Street. That work also is expected to take two days to complete. All work is weather-permitting.
To facilitate the work by Pro South Services, sidewalks adjacent to the floodwall on both sides will be temporarily closed to the public. All work will occur on the river side of the floodwall and will not affect the side featuring the Dafford Murals.
