City Clerk



The City Clerk is primarily responsible for attending each meeting of the Paducah Board of Commissioners, preparing the meeting agendas, and maintaining a record of accurate minutes of the proceedings. Unless otherwise noted, the Board meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 5 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of City Hall at 300 South 5th Street. The general public is invited to attend.

The City Clerk's office is the custodian of all official City records, which includes ordinances, resolutions, municipal orders, and contracts. The duties and responsibilities of the City Clerk as listed in Chapter 2 Section 2.92 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah shall include but are not limited to

  • Maintenance and safekeeping of the permanent records of the City;
  • Performance of the duties required of the official custodian or custodian pursuant to KRS 61.870-61.882;
  • Possession of the seal of the City if used;
  • Performance of all other duties and responsibilities required of the City Clerk by statute and ordinance.

The City Clerk also is the Deputy ABC Administrator regarding the consumption and selling of Alcoholic Beverages in the City of Paducah.

Kentucky Revised Statutes allow for public records inspection requests (Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests) when applicable. Copies of records are $0.10 per page.  To request information, download an Open Records Request Form and submit it to the City Clerk's Office by email at or by mail
