The community is invited to attend the official inauguration ceremony for the Paducah Board of Commissioners. The event will be Monday, December 30 at 5 p.m. in the atrium of City Hall. The oaths of office will be administered to Mayor-elect George P. Bray and Commissioners-elect Sandra Wilson, Raynarldo Henderson, Robert Buz Smith, and Dujuan Thomas.
City Manager Daron Jordan will be the Master of Ceremonies. The event includes remarks by each member of the Board, the posting of colors by members of the Paducah Police and Fire Departments, the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” by Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Christopher Shea Nickell, and the invocation by Reverend Lex Allum of First Presbyterian Church on North 7th Street.
There will be light refreshments. Music will be provided by One Road Over Strings – Barbie Bastida & Ian Bastida.
The Board officially begins its term on January 1, 2025.
