Date of Release:
January 30, 2025

A section of the Greenway Trail will be closed to the public on Monday, February 3 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. for floodwall levee maintenance. The nearly half mile section of trail that will be closed is from Cairo Road to the Paducah-Brookport Road underpass near the Brookport Bridge.

The Floodwall Division of the Engineering Department is closing the section of Greenway Trail for routine clearing of the floodwall right-of-way. The city has contracted with Supreme Enterprises, LLC for the clearing which is expected to last only one day.

About the Greenway Trail  The Clyde F. Boyles Greenway Trail extends more than five miles stretching from the riverfront toward the new Paducah Sports Park property. It connects to the McCracken County Trail at the Bob Leeper Bridge. More than three miles of the trail is concrete and constructed on the top of the floodwall levee. The remaining trail section has a gravel surface that begins in Noble Park and heads west until it connects with the County’s 1.5-mile trail.
