About the Board
The Building, Electrical, and Fire Codes Appeals Board is established by Paducah Code of Ordinances Sec. 18-123. The purpose is to hear appeals of the decisions of the Paducah Fire Prevention Division’s inspectors.
The Appeals Board shall consist of seven (7) members. Four of the members four shall have professional experience related to the building industry and be familiar with the Kentucky Building Code; two members shall have experience in the electrical trade with knowledge of the applicable electrical code; and one board member shall be an utility company official. The members of the Appeals Board shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Commissioners.
