The Code Enforcement section of the Fire Prevention Division enforces all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in order to provide a healthy, clean, and pleasant environment for the citizens of Paducah. Code Enforcement is housed on the first floor of City Hall (300 South 5th Street).

Firefighter for a Day is a free one-day class for those at least 18 years of age taught by members of the Paducah Fire Department.
The Paducah Fire Department and IAFF Local 168 are ambassadors for Operation Warm. Operation Warm is a national program founded in 2002 that provides American-made coats to children in need. The program helps more than 300,000 children each year.
The FREE 2023 Annual Combined Conference for Fire Service, Electrical, and Building Professionals will be October 12 through 14 at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. This conference which is organized by the Paducah Fire Department typically attracts more than 300 participants. This will be the 11th annual conference.
Paducah’s Code of Ordinances allows the sale of fireworks that leave the ground, explode, or have a report; however, they are not allowed to be discharged within the city limits due to the density of homes and other structures.
