About the Rec Center
The Paducah Recreation Center is located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr., Drive in the historic Fountain Avenue Neighborhood. The Paducah Recreation Center features the following:
- Sport Court - court space for basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, futsal, and many more activities
- Conference room - next to the court that also serves as a yoga classroom
- Kitchen - next to the conference room is a kitchen with a refrigerator, work island, a double oven, two stoves, sink, and warming containers
- Concession Area - kitchen has a concession opening to the sports court
- Stage - at the end of the sports court is a stage
- Upstairs - a large open area open to the court below
- Restrooms - each restroom facility includes a shower

- Membership Information

Effective January 3, 2023, there are changes to Rec Center memberships. Memberships will have a 6% tax due to recent changes in Kentucky State Law.
All Paducah Recreation Center membership prices for renewals and new memberships beginning January 3, 2023, are listed below with the 6% tax included. Returning members can renew their Paducah Recreation Center Membership during normal facility operating hours.
- GOLD Individual Membership: $65.00
- SILVER Individual Membership: $25.00
- GOLD Family Membership: $95.00
- SILVER Family Membership: $35.00,
- Activity Punch Pass for SILVER Memberships (15 Class Visits): $10.00
- Single Class Drop-in Rate for SILVER Memberships: $1.00
- Daily Drop in Visit (Open Gyms only, no membership): $5.00
All memberships will continue to be valid for 365 days from purchase. Gold & Silver Family Memberships cover a family up to four members (i.e. two adults and dependents). Additional household members over four are $5.00 (tax included) each. This could include dependents and legal guardianships living in household. All memberships are on a card that attaches to a key ring (key fob). These key fobs will have a bar code assigned to each member of your household. Once you enter the facility, scan the fob for your class, activity, or open gym. Bring this key fob every time you enter the facility. Activity Punch Passes will also be added to the same key fob when purchased.
A Gold Membership will continue to gain access to open gyms and classes at the Paducah Recreation Center with no additional fees. A Silver Membership will give you access to our open gym programs. Silver Members can also purchase an Activity Punch Pass or pay the Single Class Drop-in Rate to attend classes.
Memberships can be purchased at any time throughout the upcoming year. They are valid for 365 days. There is a $5 charge if you need to replace your key fob membership anytime throughout the 365 days. Certain sports leagues, sports tournaments, and special events at the facility are excluded in the cost for membership and could have separate registration fees. The Paducah Recreation Center allows non-members to participate in Open Gym, Basketball Open Gym, Tiny Tot Open Gym, Volleyball Open Gym, Youth Open Gym, and Walking Club for a drop-in rate of $5 per day. Non-members who choose to become a member during a day where they paid the $5 drop-in rate, the $5 can be applied to the membership fee. However, any drop-in payments on previous days cannot be used towards a membership.

- Must wear athletic shoes on gym floor
- Must sign in upon entry and present Member ID card
- No dunking or hanging on rims of basketball goals
- Equipment must be checked out at the office
- Equipment must be signed back in at the office before leaving the facility
- No profanity
- No rough housing
- Must follow additional game rules during league play
- Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult
Sportsmanship – All players, coaches and spectators are required to display good sportsmanship before, during and after all games on and off the court/field while at Paducah Parks and Recreation activities. Players, coaches, and spectators not displaying good sportsmanship may be ejected or suspended as determined by the Paducah Parks and Recreation staff in accordance with the Parks Behavior Policy.
Paducah Parks and Recreation Behavior Policy - Paducah Parks and Recreation under no circumstance will tolerate verbal and/or physical abuse of any staff member, umpire/referee, or program participant. The penalties for any of the above behaviors are strict and strongly enforced. First time offenders may be suspended for a minimum of 1-year from all Parks and Recreation Programming. It is our mission that all participants as well as employees feel safe and are protected from any type of abuse.
- Reserving the Rec Center

The Paducah Recreation Center is available for reservations for athletic and fitness activities only.
To reserve the facility, complete the Paducah Recreation Center Application and email to parkinfopaducahky.gov.
Reservation requests must be approved by Paducah Parks & Recreation since there is regularly scheduled programming at the facility. For additional information, contact 270-444-8508.
- Classes

Parks & Recreation offers many dance, yoga, and fitness classes throughout the year. Classes are held at the Paducah Recreation Center and the Paducah Parks & Recreation office.
- Parents Night Out

Need an evening out without the kids? Kids ages 5-12 years old are invited for a night of pizza, games, and arts & crafts at the Paducah Recreation Center from 6 until 9 p.m. on select dates. Enjoy an opportunity to take a well-deserved break while your children are safe and having a blast with the Recreation staff.
Fee is $15 per child.
Pre-registration is required since space is limited. Register at the Paducah Parks & Recreation Office located inside the Robert Cherry Civic Center at 2701 Park Avenue, call 270-444-8508, or register online.

Basketball Open Gym
Open Gym time for basketball only. Members can bring their own basketball or check out a basketball with Rec Center staff.
Mondays and Wednesdays - 6:30-9 p.m.
Family Open Gym
Open Gym time for families with children 16 years old and younger. Parent/guardian must attend with children 10 and under. Members can bring their own basketball or check out a basketball with Rec Center staff. Members can participate in a variety of activities including basketball, volleyball, pickleball, badminton, spikeball, futsal, floor hockey, and cornhole
Tuesdays - 3:30-6 p.m.
Homeschool Open Gym
Open Gym time for home schooled children and their families. Homeschool Open Gym offers both physical fitness and social time. Members can participate in a variety of activities including basketball, volleyball, pickleball, badminton, spikeball, futsal, floor hockey, and cornhole.
Wednesdays - 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Open Gym
Members can participate in a variety of activities offered at the Paducah Recreation Center. This includes basketball, volleyball, pickleball, badminton, spikeball, futsal, floor hockey, and cornhole. Ask the staff and the activities will be arranged. The court needs to be shared with other members who may not want to play in full court pick up games.
Mondays - 2:30 - 5:20 p.m.
Thursdays - 2:30 - 5 p.m.
Tiny Tot Open Gym
Open Gym time for children ages 12 months to 5 years old. Parents/guardians are invited, too. There is toddler friendly equipment and toys, with lots of space to run.
Mondays - 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Volleyball Open Gym
Open Gym time for volleyball only. Members can bring their own volleyball or check out a volleyball with Rec Center staff.
Sundays - 1:30-4:30 p.m.
Tuesdays - 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Thursdays - 6:30-9:30 p.m.
- Tiny Tot Thanksgiving Celebration

The Tiny Tot Thanksgiving Celebration will be Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 10 a.m. This event is for children 5 years old and younger (and their parent/guardian). The cost is $5 per child (tax included). There will be arts and crafts, games, prizes, a photo station for pictures, and story-time.

- Youth Tennis at the Rec Center

This new program is for kids ages 6-12 of all ability levels. Youth Tennis at the Paducah Recreation Center will be from 5 until 6 p.m. on the following Sundays: January 22 & 29, February 5, 12, 19, & 26.
The cost is $5 per Sunday or $30 for all six.
Participants must pre-register since space is limited but can choose to register for all the dates, one date, or a couple of them. The deadline to register is the Friday before each Sunday at noon.
